Well, Valentine’s Day is now only ten days away, which means you’re almost down to the wire if you want to give a thoughtful gift that counts. I’m a firm believer that the best Valentine’s Day gifts are from the heart and the hands. Handmade gifts are inexpensive to make, because the cost of labor is entirely up to you. This year, the boyfriend and I set a pretty strict budget (Hey, summer vacation is way more important than one, winter holiday) so we have to get creative in order to give gifts that are cost efficient and heartfelt at the same time.
What have I got going on? Oh, just a little knitting project. Which was already way under budget but is now even cheaper, since I SnipSnapped at A.C. Moore. My Valentine’s Day craft shopping list included two skeins of gray yarn ($3.79 each) and one set of five size nine double pointed needles ($6.99). I SnipSnapped this 40% off any item coupon; I figured that the discount would be applied to one of the lower priced skeins of yarn, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the discount came off my most expensive item, the needles. Which means I saved almost 3 dollars!
You could use this coupon to buy all sorts of cool novelty food/craft items. Check out this make-your-own-Auntie-Anne’s-pretzel kit:
