Happy Friday, everyone! It’s been a great week, because I’ve had the privilege of chatting with lots of wonderful SnipSnap users from across the country. Yesterday I talked with Lyndsey from Haddock, Georgia about how she uses her SnipSnap app to save almost 50% every time she visits the pet store. Today, I got to learn how Jocelynn from Southern California saves with SnipSnap. I got to know Jocelynn from her coupon blog Boricua on a Budget, where she keep meticulous track of hot coupons and offer codes to share with her readers. I find lots of great deals on Jocelynn’s site; I just uploaded this pretty sweet bebe offer to SnipSnap from her blog. Jocelynn is mom to an eleven-year-old, and loves to shop and visit Las Vegas for fun. She believes that anyone can live the good life with coupons, even if you’re supporting a large family, or you’re in between jobs.
Hey, Jocelynn! Tell us how you started couponing. How has couponing changed your life? I started almost 7 years ago. It was about the time when all the foreclosures were happening and refinancing your home was very difficult to do (I ended up losing my house). I remembered reading an article in Better Homes and Gardens about a wife and mother of two who made it on less than $30k a year. The number one thing she said made it work was couponing. When I started couponing, my life changed in ways I never anticipated; I could do almost everything I did before, except with a discount or for free! I take the time to look for deals or coupons and, in the beginning, it was a little time consuming, but now, several years later, I feel like I’m almost a pro at it .
How did you learn about SnipSnap? What has your experience with the app been like? I found SnipSnap about 2 months ago. I was doing a Google search for the best apps to save money with and SnipSnap popped up. My experience has been really good so far!
How does traditional couponing compare to couponing with SnipSnap? Traditional couponing is way more time consuming than using SnipSnap!
Do you have any tips or tricks to using SnipSnap that you could share? What is your SnipSnap strategy? Anytime, and I mean anytime, I’m going out, no matter where I’m going, I check SnipSnap to see what deals I can find. Also, every Sunday when I get the paper I upload all the coupons that are not manufacturer coupons into SnipSnap.
What stores do you use SnipSnap at most? Starbucks, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Macy’s, and H&M.
Do you use any other mobile couponing apps? If so, which are your favorite and why? I use Wrapp, which is a gift giving app that lets you send free mobile gifts to your Facebook friends! I also like shopkick, which awards you points you can trade in for rewards just for walking into stores.
What do you think about the future of couponing? Will we see a complete transition to mobile coupons, or will print coupons always have their place? I think mobile coupons are the way to go. I think that print coupons will eventually fade away. Another thing I like about SnipSnap is that a lot of my friends who do not like clipping coupons love SnipSnap because it’s the easy way to save money!
