Contest Update:
We have been forced to suspend the “Follow the Money” contest (get 100 followers, win $100 gift card), due to abuse.
Over the weekend, the contest was compromised by significant mechanized entries, collusion, and fraud.
We are sorry to have to cancel the contest after just one short week, but we don’t have the manpower to investigate each and every claim, especially given the overwhelming number of false ones.
We will be reaching out to all individuals who already submitted a claim, and attempt to adjudicate accordingly. If you followed the rules of the contest and got 100 new users to follow you, you’re golden! However, if your follower count appears to be identical to other submissions, automated, or otherwise fishy, you will likely be disqualified.
For all those who started the contest and didn’t have enough time to get to the 100-follower goal, we’re sorry! We’re working on another, more fraud-proof contest. Stay tuned.

We may have announced our Follow the Money contest yesterday but, even though it sounds almost too good to be true, it’s definitely not an April Fools! We’re serious: Any and all SnipSnappers who grow their SnipSnap following to 100 users or more during the month of April (contest ends April 25 April 6) will receive a $100 mobile gift card to one of ten stores via the always amazing Gyft app.
The absolute best part about this contest is that anyone (over the age of 18) can win. All you have to do is create an active SnipSnap user profile (if you haven’t already), visit the Discover Screen in the app, tap the Add Friend icon, and select friends from your social networks to invite to SnipSnap (make sure you remind them to follow you once they’ve created their user profiles!)
Once you’ve found your following, just shoot an email to contest@snipsnap.it to notify us and we’ll verify your contest entry. Then you’ll get to select an awesome Gyft gift card to pretty much any store your heart desires. Make sure you score your 100 followers before the contest deadline and, of course, make sure that all of your followers are real people other than yourself (we’ll check and disqualify anyone who doesn’t abide by the official rules).
