Did you know that you can load Internet/email coupons into SnipSnap by taking screen captures instead of pictures? Here’s how it works:

If you want to make sure you get the first heads up on a company’s email and/or Facebook offers, make sure you sign up for that company’s email subscription on its website and “like” its Facebook page. Whenever you receive an email coupon or claim a Facebook offer, just use your phone’s screen capture function to save an image of the coupon to your photo library. In order to upload the coupon to SnipSnap, so you’ll receive location and expiration date reminders, just open the app and tap the camera icon at the bottom of your home screen like you normally would:

When you’ve entered the image capturing screen, just tap the photo icon to the left of the camera icon:

Then just select the screen capture of the coupon and crop it to size.

Here are some extra tips to help you get started SnipSnapping your Internet/Email offers like a pro:

• Make sure you capture the company logo. In order for SnipSnap to recognize your offers as a particular store’s and file it accordingly, you need to capture the name of the store. If the name of the store is, for some reason, not on the coupon itself, you can always take a screen shot of the company logo by doing a simple search with your mobile web browser.
• Make sure you read the coupon details. Many Internet offers state that they can be redeemed by printing or displaying on a mobile phone. Some only state that they can be redeemed in print, but, often, stores with “print only” coupons will still honor them off your mobile phone. Always mark single use coupons private so your savings stay yours.
