When SnipSnap 2.0 launched last month, the world of mobile couponing got a whole lot friendlier and more connected. For the first time, SnipSnappers could create their own user profiles, share their coupons, and follow other super-savers. SnipSnap 2.0 made it much easier to spot trending deals and see other users’ real time redemptions in your news feed.
What’s even better than SnipSnap 2.0? SnipSnap 2.1, because now it’s a whole lot easier to find the friends you want to follow. With SnipSnap 2.0, you could invite friends to SnipSnap via your contacts, Facebook, or Twitter, but it was a little more convoluted to find friends who were already SnipSnap users. The solution? The brand new “Search” feature in SnipSnap 2.1. To search for your friends in SnipSnap, just tap the “add friend” icon on the top right-hand corner of your profile page. Then, tap the magnifying glass on the right and search for your friends by one of three criteria: email, SnipSnap user name, or Twitter handle. It’s best to search for friends using their email addresses. Especially because many SnipSnap users elect to use their last initials rather than their full last names, which means you’ll pull more search results when you search by name over email. It’s still easy to find users either way.
When you follow new friends on SnipSnap, make sure you check out their coupon bundles to see if they’re curating any coupon lists you’d like to subscribe to. And make sure you follow me! I’m constantly snipping hundreds of coupons and curating bundles with top offers according to retailers, holidays, and event planning. The more friends you follow, the better your SnipSnap experience will be. More friends means more coupons, more shopping inspiration, and more real time knowledge of which deals work best where.
