This past Saturday, the boyfriend was ready to die for Olive Garden. This happens every few months: the craving creeps up over a couple of days until it finally takes over, and we’re waiting in line at Olive Garden for hours on a Saturday night. Turns out, the wait is much more bearable (and, actually, kind of fun!) when you have coupons. I SnipSnapped this $5 off two entrees coupon while Dan added us to the very, very long seating list. Then I determined the savings should go toward sangria, so I hopped up to a bar stool and ordered this delicious, plump, juicy, strawberry-topped concoction for what would end up being 95 cents.
Olive Garden is seriously one of the best places to eat for cheap. My servers always accept my mobile coupons just like the print variety, so I never pay full price at lunch or dinner. Plus, the salad and bread sticks are always free, so A) you never feel like you’re missing an appetizer and B) there’s usually enough left of your entree to take home and have for lunch the next day. Olive Garden also has amazing customer service; once, my credit card got charge twice by accident while paying for an Olive Garden feast. The error was fixed and, after I notified the customer service department, they sent me a $20 Olive Garden gift card!
Dan was very excited to pay for dinner, which ended up costing six bucks after my coupon and my gift card. It’s way more enjoyable to go out for dinner when the experience costs less than it does for two to go to Starbucks. Where else am I scoring free food this week? Next on my list: Zinburger, which just opened a new location down the street. If you want to get in on all of my mobile meal deals, follow me in SnipSnap and subscribe to my Restaurants coupon bundle. Happy (free) eating!
