How to Score a FREE Bikini at H&M This SwimSuit Shopping Season

Yesterday, I had a pretty epic evening at the mall. I’m going on a very tropical vacation next month and, since I’ll be spending my fair share of time in the sun, at the pool and by the sea, I’ll need more than my fair share of bikinis. Last week I used a $5 Target mobile coupon to save on this already very affordable (and extremely adorable) mint green and cheetah print bikini:

Yesterday, I decided I needed more swimwear in my vacation wardrobe. At the end of last month, Wrapp, my absolute favorite social gifting app, celebrated its one year anniversary with a free $10 mobile H&M gift card for users who shared its anniversary Facebook status. (New to Wrapp and have no idea what I’m talking about? Read my original Wrapp review right here.) Since my gift card was about to expire, I decided to shop the H&M swim section to see what kind of deals I could find.

I had no idea what I was walking into when I entered the abyss of bikini tress at the front of my H&M. In truth, it was a little wild looking: bikini tops strangling hangers haphazardly and bikini bottoms strewn all over the floor. I couldn’t make sense of the bikini murder scene – until I saw the sale sign announcing tops and bottoms starting at just $4.95. I tried to be a little more polite about how I tackled the bikini trees myself, but I was really excited to dig through them all and find the less-than-$10 swimsuit that was screaming for me. (“Liz, buy me!”)

I found it! It’s tie-dyed white and green, the perfect shade of palm trees, and there’s nothing cheap about it (except the price). It even has some sweet, silver toggles embellishing the ends of the bikini strings to keep them from fraying and to add a touch of shiny:

My total bikini cost came to $9.90, so I received my bikini for free with ten cents to spare by redeeming my Wrapp card! If you scored one of the free Wrapp $10 H&M gift cards – make sure you hurry on over to your H&M (or shop online) and score your free bikini now. Here’s another style that’s just $9.90, total, top to bottom:

Didn’t receive an anniversary Wrapp gift card? Don’t worry! You can still exchange free $6 Wrapp gift cards to H&M with your Facebook friends in the Wrapp app.

The Best, Most Affordable Workout Shorts for Spring

Happy Monday, everyone!Screen Shot 2013-05-06 at 12.45.29 PM

I’ve been buying a lot of bright spring clothes lately, because it’s finally getting warm out! And I have have a ton of mobile coupons in my savings arsenal. Last week, I went to Target and picked up some amazing steals with ten dollars worth of coupons on my smartphone. This weekend, I headed to Old Navy, because I SnipSnapped this 20% off total purchase coupon that I just had to use for stocking up on more spring essentials.

As soon as I walked into Old Navy, I knew exactly what I wanted to buy with my coupon: these Active by Old Navy 3″ running shorts. I’ve been running a long time, and I’ve tested out heaps of running shorts. After lots of shopping and shoddy runs with shorts either falling off or riding up my butt, I’ve decided it’s extremely difficult to find a pair that’s affordable, cute, comfortable, and functional (at the same time). I’ve been using mobile coupons to score great, super-cheap workout gear at Old Navy for a while and, once I got hooked on Old Navy shorts, I vowed to stop spending money on expensive brands to get the job done.

If you think you need to drop $200 at lululemon to look cute while getting fit for this year’s bikini season, you’re wrong in a really good way. These Old Navy shorts are usually $15, but if you SnipSnap this coupon, you can save 20% in store and online. (Heads up: some colors are cheaper online than in stores, so you’ll save more money with the coupon + score free shipping and returns if you spend at least 50 bucks.) I’m in love with the fabric and design of these babies: the cut makes your legs look long and sleek, while the fabric is soft and slinky so you won’t experience any chafing or discomfort during long, sweaty workouts. Bonus: the color selection is amazing (I honestly believe bright hues make me work out harder and longer, but maybe that’s just me).

Want to get in on the great Old Navy savings? Today is your last day to save 20% on fashion and great workout gear. Get in on this deal and let me know which color(s) running shorts you decided to buy. I spent a lot of time deciding between these two colors last Friday night; I bought the black/hot pink pair, but I’m tempted to go buy the hot pink pair today anyway!
